Reception Opens Daily from

09.30 - 12.30  &  14.30 - 17.30 (half day thursday ) 

Friday at 5.00 pm

 

Later clinics Monday & Thursday by Appt.

 

AFTERHOUR EMERGENCY SURGERY :

Monday - Friday 6.00 pm - 10.00 pm & Sat/ Sun & Bank Holidays  10.00 am - 6.00 pm  in TLC Centre in Tallaght Cross West  this service is for emergencies only, free with active medical card which must be produced at the visit, and a fee will apply for private patient. Patients 16 years and over must have a medical card ending with the letter "A".

 

Between the hours of  10.00 pm - 09.30 am the emergency number is 014539333, where an agency GP will visit you, they will have no access to your records. These visits are STRICTLY for emergencies only that cannot wait until next surgery visit, and a VALID medical card must be produced or a fee paid.

 

Phone is switched off daily between 11.00 - 11.30 am, or if very busy at desk or if unexpected emergency phone may be switched to answer machine, please ring back in 5 minutes.

 

If you have been advised by the GP to drop a urine sample into surgery please be advised, that the sample MUST be in a correct urine sample bottle, available in chemist, (or from GP), tightly closed, and in a sample bag, Reception staff can refuse to take your sample due to Health & Safely.

 

Samples just dropped into Reception will incur a fee of €10.00.  Fee unpaid will result in sample not being processed.

 

All tests, are ordered by doctor at time of consultation and cannot be ordered by patient over the phone.

 

Our administrative staff may be instructed to pass test results, or advice, onto patients once they have been reviewed by a doctor. They are not authorised to give results that are outside the normal range.A reduced surgery fee of €30 - €50 if a patient is recalled to discuss their test results.   Please allow up to 3 - 4 weeks for all lab work to arrive back in surgery.

 

Sometimes results get lost or delayed – so please follow up with us and clarify the situation if your results have not arrived. It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment for a follow-up consultation to discuss them, with a doctor or nurse; if you are advised to do so.

TLC-DOC is a service provided by local GPs, with the support of the HSE, and located in Tallaght Cross west across from Aldi Tallaght Rd, Cookstown, Dublin. Local GPs have formed a cooperative to provide out-of-hours care for their own patients. This service will provide GP appointments for urgent medical conditions on weekday evenings and weekends. 1890 20 22 24 Please do not ring this number before 6.00 pm Monday - Friday, or 10.00 Sat/Sun & Bank Holidays.
